The Program
This Program selects grantees for the Agriculture PhD Fellows Program. It aims at encouraging scientific exchange and academic qualification of Brazilian professionals in the field of Agriculture at Purdue University
Purdue University will define the criteria for admissions according to each different department at the Agriculture College. Candidates should access the page of the chosen area to find specific information from the list below:
I - Engenharia Agrícola e Biológica (Agricultural and Biological Engineering);
II - Economia Agrícola (Agricultural Economics);
III - Educação e Comunicação em Ciências Agrárias (Agricultural Sciences Education and Communication);
IV - Agronomia (Agronomy);
V - Ciências Animais (Animal Sciences)
VI - Bioquímica (Biochemistry)
VII - Botânica e Fitopatologia (Botany and Plant Pathology);
VIII - Entomologia (Entomology);
IX - Ciência Alimentar (Food Science);
X - Silvicultura e Recursos Naturais (Forestry and Natural Resources); e
XI - Horticultura e Paisagismo (Horticulture and Landscape Architecture).

Objective:
1. To select and qualify Brazilian students in the CAPES/PURDUE Agriculture PhD Fellows Program
2. Encourage the qualification of leaderships to contribute for the research in the areas related to the Program in Brazil and abroad
3. To strengthen areas of knowledge in consolidation in the Country
4. To broaden the levels of collaboration and joint publications among researchers working both in Brazil and abroad
5. To broaden the access of Brazilian researchers to international centers of excellence
6. To allow wider international visibility to Brazilian scientific, technological, and cultural productions
