Besides fulfilling all conditions stated in the present Public Call, the candidate must also follow the General Guide for Scholarship Abroad. The following requisites are also to be accomplished:
I - To be a native or naturalized Brazilian citizen, or a foreigner with resident permit.
II – To be living in Brazil at the time of application and during the whole selection process.
III – To hold a Doctorate degree.
IV – To be in possession of a Doctorate title for at least 15 (fifteen) years and have professional experience for the same period of time – 15 years counting from the date of application.
V – Not having received scholarship or benefits for the same modality (Chair Scholarship) by a public federal agency in the previous 24 (twenty four) months. The candidate who doesn´t follow these requisites is subject to rejection of application, or, in case of verification of failure after the concession, of refunding the amounts, plus interest and inflation rates, as stated in the present legislation.
VI – To be a permanent member of a Higher Education or Research Institution.
VII – To be professor or research advisor in a post-graduation program recognized and recommended by CAPES in the priority areas of the chosen program.
VIII – To hold outstanding position in his/her area of expertise and notable recognition by the academic scientific community in Brazil and abroad.
IX – To not accumulate scholarship or benefits of any nature given by a public federal agency during the period.
X – To hold outstanding academic performance in the area proposed by the University of Tubingen.
XI – To dedicate efforts to academic activities, including teaching, orientation and coordination of thesis and participation in research projects. Applications by retired professors will not be taken in consideration.
XII – To be fluent in German or English, at a level compatible with the performance of the activities, including giving classes and lectures, orientation for students in post-graduation courses and participation in research groups and post-graduation programs.
XIII – To be available for full-time activities proposed and approved by CAPES and the Host Institution during the scholarship period.
XIV- To be aware that during his/her stay in Tubingen the applicant must work in his/her own research project. Besides, he/she must be able to collaborate in the elaboration and impletion of a multidisciplinary research and teaching network on the theme being proposed. Activities will be incorporated in the form of lectures, seminars, and workshops.
XV- To represent and disseminate the Brazilian education and research system in the Host Institution and abroad.
