The Program

The Social Demand Program aims at qualifying top level human resources necessary to the Country by granting scholarships to professors of stricto sensu post-graduation programs (Master and Doctorate)

The Social Demand scholarships are administered by the Post-Graduation Pro-Rectories and by the Post-Graduation Programs, which establish their own Scholarship Commission, responsible for the selection and follow-up of the grantees, as established by Capes. The Post-Graduation Pro-Rectory is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the Scholarships and Benefits Control System (SCBA) – registrations, cancellations, interruptions and suspension of scholarships), which occur on monthly basis, following the calendar established and administered by Capes.
