• Candidates must present a Research Proposal and follow requirements established in the Public Notice during the selective internal process of his/her institutions.
• If approved by the IES the candidate will proceed to the on-line application at CAPES´s site, with obligatory documents attached, in order to get approval by the Rectory. Following homologation, the Rectory will check the documents sent and give its approval to the application at the electronic CAPES´page, according to the quotas available at the Higher Institution of Learning (IES)
• Following approval, the selected student must send the mandatory documents in a pdf. archive  as instructed
• Requirements and conditions must follow the Public Call of scholarship programs abroad of the PDSE Program
• Accumulation of scholarships, whenever granted by a Brazilian agency, in the same modality, are prohibited. Students/Researchers already granted with international scholarships will not be selected again, with the exception made for Post-Doctoral Research Programs candidates
• Scholarships not utilized by a Postgraduate Program might be rechanneled to another PPG member of the same IES, but only in cases that all benefits follow through, i.e., partial rechanneling is forbidden. In cases of a network PPG, the scholarship can be utilized – among Postgraduate Programs – by any of the Postgraduate Program participants

Obs.: The candidate must apply at CAPES, exclusively through the internet, until 5 PM of the final day for applications (Brasilia Official Time), as established in the Calendar. CAPES will not be held responsible for applications received after the established deadline due to technical problems such as congestion of communication lines and other similar factors that prevent data transference
