Signing of the Production Sharing Agreement

The production sharing agreements for the blocks awarded in the 3rd Cycle of the Open Acreage of Production Sharing were finalized through electronic signatures by the Minister of Mines and Energy (MME), the Director-General of ANP, the CEO of PPSA, and the signatories of the winning bidders: Karoon Petróleo & Gás Ltda, Equinor Brasil Energia Ltda, Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - PETROBRAS, CNOOC Petroleum Brasil Ltda, and Sinopec Exploration and Production (Brazil) Ltda.

The production-sharing contracts for the Esmeralda and Itaimbezinho blocks, signed on May 27, 2026, and the production-sharing contracts for the Ametista, Citrino, and Jaspe blocks, signed on June 26, 2026, had their respective signing extracts published in the May 28, 2026, edition of the Federal Official Gazette and in the June 26, 2026, edition of the Federal Official Gazette.

A ceremony to celebrate the signing of the production-sharing contracts for the blocks awarded in the 3rd Cycle of the Open Acreage of Production Sharing is scheduled for August 5, 2026, in Brasília (DF).
