IPRI Policy Briefs
PRESENTATION: Focus and Scope
IPRI Policy Briefs is a periodical organized by the International Relations Research Institute (IPRI) of the Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation (FUNAG), which compiles and disseminates the results of research conducted within the “Contemporary IPRI Research” Research Group.
The policy brief format aims to translate complex research into evidence-based policy recommendations. It presents a synthesis of key issues, outlines research findings, and offers policy options in clear and accessible language. Its objective is to inform non-specialist audiences in decision-making processes. Thus, it seeks to reach readers outside the academic sphere who are looking for qualified information to form critical opinions on international issues.
The Contemporary IPRI Research Group structures its studies around three main lines: the crisis of multilateralism and global governance; cooperation and issues on the international agenda; and Brazil and the world - Brazilian foreign policy. Its composition includes researchers from different higher education institutions and regions of the country, who join the efforts of the international relations analysts through the IPRI Volunteer Researchers Program, launched in July 2024.
