Technical Data Package
The technical data package is a collection of public technical data selected by ANP for the Open Acreage under the Production Sharing regime (OPP), consisting of a set of regional data, including seismic lines and well data selected at the discretion of ANP.
Payment of access fees for the technical data package is optional, not linked to registration, and does not oblige or restrict bidders’ offers during the public bid session.
The location maps for well data and 2D and 3D seismic data included in the data packages for each basin by sector can be accessed on eBID. The other data included in the technical data packages, such as non-seismic data, do not have associated maps.
Procedures for obtaining the technical data package
The OPP technical data package can only be picked up in person at the ANP/Urca office, located at Av. Pasteur, 404, Block A4, Urca, Rio de Janeiro/RJ.
Access to the data package is optional, and the interested company must:
- fill out the electronic application form, in accordance with Subsection IV.2 of the Tender Protocol;
- provide proof of payment of the access fee to the technical data package (available only in Portuguese) corresponding to the sector or grouping of sectors of interest, in accordance with Subsection V.2 of the Tender Protocol; and
- present a document indicating the sectors for which the technical data package access fee was paid, as per the model in ANNEX IV of the Tender Protocol.
After the request is submitted, instructions for scheduling an in-person pickup will be sent. In-person pickup of data at ANP/Urca may take place only after authorization from the ANP.
After scheduling the appointment, the company must deliver a new external hard drive (HD), in sealed packaging, directly to the Exploration and Production Database (BDEP) for the recording of technical data. The team in charge will then record the data onto the hard drive and schedule a date for the pickup of the hard drive containing the recorded data.
The minimum storage capacity of the external hard disk will depend on the size of the data package requested.
Technical data packages may be collected:
a) by an accredited representative;
b) by the bidder’s legal representative, who is a signatory to the ANP Exploration and Production Database (BDEP) Terms of Use;
c) by a person authorized by the accredited representative or by the legal representative who is a signatory to the BDEP Terms of Use. In this case, the name, identification document and position of the authorized person must be listed in ANNEX IV of the Tender Protocol.
