A cycle of the Open Acreage of Production Sharing consists of all activities necessary to conduct the public bidding session for the blocks that are the subject of a declaration of interest, and also includes the qualification of the winning bidders from the public session, the award of the object of bidding in the cycle, the approval of the cycle’s bidding process, and the signing of the production sharing contracts, in accordance with item 1.29 of the current Tender Protocol.
The cycles begin with the publication of their schedule, following the Bidding Round Special Commission’s (CEL) approval of one or more expressions of interest, accompanied by bid guarantees, as provided for in sections 1.25 and 1.30 of the Tender Protocol.
Pursuant the decision of the 22nd Meeting of the Open Acreage of Production Sharing (CEL OPP), the 4th Cycle of the Open Acreage of Production Sharing (OPP) was opened, and its indicative schedule was published in the Official Gazette on May 22, 2026.
