Opening of the 3rd Cycle of the Open Acreage of Production Sharing

The Bidding Round Special Commission (CEL) of the Open Acreage of Production Sharing approved a declaration of interest accompanied by a bid guarantee at a meeting held on June 16, 2025, therefore opening the 3rd Cycle of the Open Acreage of Production Sharing. The indicative schedule for the 3rd Cycle of the Open Acreage of Production Sharing (OPP) was published in the Official Gazette (D.O.U.) on June 17, 2025, with the public session to be held on October 22, 2025.

In the public session of the 3rd Cycle of the Open Acreage of Production Sharing, up to 13 exploratory blocks located in the Santos and Campos basins, available in the current version of the Open Acreage of Production Sharing Tender Protocol, may be offered.

Currently, 13 companies are registered in the Open Acreage of Production Sharing regime. New companies interested in participating in the 3rd Cycle of the OPP may register until the deadline of June 30, 2025. The same deadline applies to updating the registration documents of companies already registered.

Registered companies interested in participating in the cycle will have until August 6, 2025 to submit a declaration of interest accompanied by a bid guarantee indicating their interest in relation to the blocks offered in the Tender Protocol. Only regularly registered companies, in compliance with the transitional provisions of ANP Resolution No. 969/2024, may participate in the 3rd Cycle of the OPP.

The blocks that will be offered in the public session of the 3rd Cycle of the Open Acreage of Production Sharing will be announced on August 20, 2025.
