Open Acreage of Production Sharing: New version of the tender protocol and models of contracts published by ANP

On May 29, 2025, ANP published the new version of the tender protocol and models of contracts for the Open Acreage of Production Sharing (OPP), resulting from Public Consultation and Hearing No. 06/2024 and approved by Board Decision No. 66/2025.

The new version of the tender protocol and models of contracts was endorsed by the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) and assessed by the Federal Court of Auditors, under the terms of TCU Normative Instruction No. 81/2018. The new bidding instruments include the review and improvement of the tender protocol and contract rules, as well as the inclusion of new exploration blocks.

There are 13 (thirteen) blocks available for bid located in the Pre-Salt Polygon, 6 (six) in the Campos Basin and 7 (seven) in the Santos Basin. The update of the documents reaffirms ANP's commitment to the continuous improvement of the OPP, aiming to make it more competitive and aligned with the dynamics of the oil and natural gas sector, contributing to the strengthening of the industry and the expansion of investment opportunities in the country.
