Open Acreage of Concession (OPC): 46 companies are eligible for the 6th Cycle
On June 26, ANP released the list of 46 companies with active registrations that are eligible to participate in the 6th Cycle of the Open Acreage of Concession (OPC). The list of bidders was published on June 26 in the Federal Official Gazette and is available on ANP’s website.
Companies will have until July 21 to submit a statement of interest, accompanied by a bid guarantee, for one or more sectors listed in the current tender protocol.
Bidders listed on the roster who do not submit a declaration of interest may submit bids in a consortium with a bidder who has declared interest within the timeframe set forth in the schedule for the 6th Cycle of the OPC.
Of the 46 companies, 4 bidders whose registration had been suspended updated their registration documents, and 6 applied for registration during the cycle; among these companies, 3 had their registration made conditional on the submission of documents by July 8. These companies are: Karavan Participações Ltda., Salvador Energy Inc., and Tucano Serviços de Apoio a Óleo e Gás Ltda.
Currently, the tender protocol for the Open Acreage of Concession (OPC) covers 38 sectors, comprising 495 exploration blocks and 5 marginal accumulation areas available in 11 sedimentary basins. By August 6, ANP will announce which of these sectors have received expressions of interest from companies and, consequently, will be offered during the public session of the 6th Cycle of the OPC.
