OPC: The 5th Cycle of the Open Acreage of Concession is opened

The indicative schedule for the 5th Cycle of the Open Acreage of Concession (OPC) was published yesterday, February 11, 2025, in the Federal Official Gazette (DOU), starting the aforementioned cycle, as decided by the Bidding Round Special Commission for the Open Acreage of Concession (CEL OPC) at its 71st Meeting. For the 5th Cycle of OPC, 332 exploration blocks are available, located in various sectors listed in the current version of the Tender Protocol of OPC.

Companies interested in participating in the 5th Cycle of OPC may register until the deadline of February 17, 2025. In the case of companies already registered in the OPC, they must update their registration documents by this date, as provided for in art. 77 of ANP Resolution No. 969/2024. The list of registered bidders eligible to participate in the 5th Cycle of the Open Acreage of Concession will be released on March 7, 2025.

Registered companies interested in participating in the cycle will have until March 31, 2025 to submit a declaration of interest, accompanied by a bid guarantee in relation to the objects offered in the Tender Protocol. The sectors that will be offered in the public session of the 5th Cycle of the Open Acreage of Concession will be disclosured on April 14, 2025. The public session for the submission of bids is scheduled to take place on June 17, 2025.
