With thirty-two years of progressive experience in planning, executing and coordinating international technical cooperation programs and projects, she is an expert in bilateral, trilateral and multilateral international negotiations. A geographer by background, she has taken several courses in planning, formulation, monitoring and evaluation of international technical cooperation projects sponsored by the Organization of American States (OAS), the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), among others.
She worked at the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) from 1989 to 2004, as assistant and analyst, in the areas of technical cooperation with Africa and budget and project management. From 1994 to 2004 she served as Manager of Multilateral Cooperation of the Multilateral Cooperation Coordination.
She was an Advisor in the Operations and Knowledge Management Division of the current United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) in New York, USA, between 2006 and 2008.
In 2009, she returned to ABC, initially as Multilateral Cooperation Manager to work with trilateral South-South cooperation and, since 2011, as Coordinator of Trilateral South-South Cooperation with International Organizations.
