General Coordination of Planning and Communication (CGPC)

The General Coordination in charge of Planning and Communication (CGPC) was created to coordinate: i) the ABC strategic planning actions, action plans, work plans and annual reports through the Nucleus of Planning (NP); and ii) the actions to publicize the activities developed by the Agency through the Nucleus of Communication (NC).

The CGPC Division is responsible for proposing, coordinating and consolidating the guidelines, strategies, plans, reports and manuals for work regarding the performance of ABC. The coordination promotes initiatives to improve internal management systems, work on strengthening partnerships and exchanges, promoting knowledge management and skill improvement, besides its initiatives with other institutions, both nationally and internationally. The work carried out by the CGPC division also includes conceptual, political, legal and regulatory frameworks.

Another aspect of this Coordination is to give visibility to the work developed by ABC through the work carried out by the CGPC Nucleus of Communication, which was established in 2017. In addition to the regular news and content writing for the social networks, the CGPC Division prepares institutional materials, publicizes the results of the work implemented by the Agency and coordinates the participation of ABC in national and international events.

It also falls upon the CGPC division to prepare responses to press inquiries and to link the Agency up with the Department of Social Communication (DCOM) within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil (MRE), as well as with the press offices of the various partners with which ABC works. Since 2018, the CGPC division has developed a Communication Plan for the Agency that is in line with the main activities provided for in the Annual Work Plan for International Cooperation of the MRE Ministry.
