There are no lodging options near the National Observatory. The list below contains information on some hostels and hotels in Rio de Janeiro recommended by the Organizing Committee. Most of them are located in the neighborhoods of Copacabana, Ipanema, and Flamengo, from where the Observatory can be easily reached by bus.
Reservations at these hostels are the participant’s responsibility, and we suggest booking at least 10 days in advance.
Where to Eat
There are several restaurants and snack bars near the National Observatory that serve lunch, and in some cases, dinner.
