The Brazilian Government has learned, with satisfaction, that an understanding was reached in Geneva by negotiators from Iran and the P5+1 (Germany, China, United States, France, United Kingdom and Russia, facilitated by the European Union) on the Iranian nuclear program.
In reaffirming that there is no alternative to a negotiated solution to this issue, the Brazilian government hopes that the implementation of the understanding over the next six months fosters the trust needed to achieve a comprehensive and lasting agreement on the matter.
