Third Meeting of BRICS Foreign Ministers – July 26, 2019
The Third Meeting of BRICS Foreign Affairs Ministers will be held in Rio de Janeiro on July 26, a group chaired by Brazil this year. The meeting will be led by the Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ernesto Araújo.
The meeting will be attended by Russia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov; Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi; South Africa's Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Naledi Pandor; and India's Minister of Road Transport and Highways, V.K. Singh.
On the occasion, the Ministers will exchange views on themes of the international political agenda, such as reform of international governance and the United Nations, and the global political situation. The interaction between the Ministers should also contemplate the different areas of cooperation among the BRICS countries and the results expected during the group's Brazilian presidency, which will culminate in the 11th BRICS Summit in Brasilia, on November 13 and 14, 2019.
