PRESS RELEASE N.53
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health continue to monitor the dialogue of the Brazilian Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) with those responsible for the Sputnik V vaccine, the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the Gamaleya Institute - Joint press release from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and of Health
The Ministries of Foreign Affairs and of Health, recalling the excellent relations between Brazil and the Russian Federation, including in the context of the fight against Covid-19, welcome the efforts of the Brazilian Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), of the Russian Fund for Direct Investment, and of Gamaleya Institute, responsible for Sputnik V, to provide further clarification on the vaccine, including the additional documentation requested, either in a new import order or in the process of emergency use under analysis.
They will continue to be willing to support the ongoing dialogue, always respecting Anvisa's autonomy, so that Sputnik V, when the use of it is approved in Brazil, will reinforce the national immunization program against Covid-19.
