Minister Antonio de Aguiar Patriota will travel to Venezuela on November 7, 2011.
In this third visit to Caracas as Foreign Minister, he will meet with his counterpart, Nicolas Maduro, when they will go over bilateral, regional and international affairs.
Minister Patriota will take part in a meeting of the High Level Housing Body, an inter-ministerial body in charge of the Gran Misión Vivienda housing project, under the cooperation program provided by Caixa Econômica Federal, based on the Brazilian experience gained in the “Minha Casa, Minha Vida” (My House, My Life) program.
Trade exchange between Brazil and Venezuela has grown significantly in the last ten years. Between 2002 and 2010, trade flow between the two countries rose by 227%, from a US$ 1.43 billion in 2002 to US$ 4.68 billion in 2010. In the same period, Brazilian exports went from US$ 798.9 million to US$ 3.85 billion, whereas those from Venezuela went from US$ 633 million to US$ 832.6 million.
