The 3rd Brazil-Morocco Political Consultations Meeting

The 3rd Brazil-Morocco Political Consultations Meeting was held on May 13th at the Itamaraty Palace. It was chaired by the Secretary for Africa and the Middle East, Ambassador Carlos Duarte, and the Director General of Bilateral Affairs at the Moroccan Foreign Ministry, Fouad Yazourh.
Within the scope of the mechanism, which meets again after seven years, bilateral topics addressed included development cooperation, trade, services and investments, candidacies, prospects for agreements, memorandums of understanding, as well as regional and multilateral issues.
Morocco is Brazil's third largest trading partner in Africa, with bilateral trade totaling $2.65 billion in 2023.
