Terrorist attack in the Philippines

The Brazilian government strongly condemns the terrorist attack carried out on Jan. 27 against the Cathedral of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, in the city of Jolo, Philippines, which killed and wounded dozens of people.

The Brazilian government reaffirms its total rejection of any and all acts of terrorism, regardless of their motivation. It also expresses its solidarity with the government and the people of the Philippines, its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and its wishes of a full and quick recovery to those wounded.
