Terrorist attack in the Philippines

The Brazilian Government strongly condemns the terrorist attack that took place at Davao market, located on the Philippine island of Mindanao, in the evening of September 2. The attack, claimed by the Abu Sayyaf group, killed 14 people and injured at least 70 more.

Brazil extends its sympathy to the families of the victims, to the people and Government of the Philippines, and reiterates its condemnation of any acts of terrorism and violence against innocent civilians, regardless of its motives.
