Terrorist attack at hotel in Mali

The Brazilian Government vehemently condemns the invasion and subsequent hostage-taking which took place today, November 20, at the Radisson Hotel in Bamako, the capital of the Republic of Mail, leaving dozens of people dead or injured.

The Embassy of Brazil in Bamako is monitoring the situation and maintaining contact with the Brazilian community in the Malian capital, all of whom are safely accounted for.

The Brazilian Government conveys its solidarity to the families of the victims and to the people and Government of Mali, and reiterates in the strongest terms its repudiation to all acts of terrorism.
