Terror attacks in Palma, Northern Mozambique
The Brazilian government strongly deplores and condemns the terror attacks perpetrated last week on the town of Palma, in northern Mozambique’s Cabo Delgado Province, which, according to reports, left people dead and hundreds displaced.
Brazil expresses its most profound solidarity with the victims and the people of Mozambique, in particular those who have been suffering from random and brutal terrorist actions in Cabo Delgado over the past years.
The Brazilian government reiterates its firm rejection of any and all acts of terror, regardless of their motivations, and reaffirms its determination to work with the international community on the fight against terrorism, which requires the investigation and the resolute tackling of transnational terror links with the various forms of organized crime. The Brazilian government reiterates, in particular, its willingness to cooperate with the Government of Mozambique to fight this scourge.
