Suspension of flight operations between Brazil and Portugal

The Brazilian government has learned of Portugal's decision to suspend flights between the two countries from January 29 to February 14, 2021.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, Augusto Santos Silva, has spoken by telephone this afternoon with Minister Ernesto Araújo, when he indicated beforehand his country's decision, saying that it was taken in response to the increase in cases of Covid-19 in that country and not because of the situation in Brazil.

Brazil and Portugal will maintain their close and continuous bilateral cooperation in the fight against the effects of the pandemic and in all other issues of their relationship.
