Signing of the Libyan Political Agreement

The Brazilian Government welcomes the signature of the Libyan Political Agreement in Skhirat, Morocco yesterday, congratulates the political leaderships who took part in it and urges those who have not done so to join the agreement as soon as possible. It also calls on all parties to strive towards the formation of the unity government as provided in the text, an important step to national reconciliation and the reconstruction of Libya. Brazil extends its greetings to the United Nations and the governments involved in facilitating the Libyan dialogue that enabled this important result.
