The Brazilian government welcomed the decision by the Saudi government to authorize Brazilian exports of live poultry to Saudi Arabia.
This is the second market opening in Saudi Arabia this year. Imports of vegetable seeds from Brazil were approved in March.
In 2023, Saudi Arabia was the 11th largest destination for Brazilian agricultural products, with exports totaling $2.93 billion.
With this new authorization, the Brazilian agribusiness sector obtained its 102nd market opening this year, totaling 180 openings across 58 countries since the beginning of 2023.
The openings are the result of joint efforts between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa).
