Repatriation of Brazilians affected by the earthquake in Türkiye
The Brazilian government is taking logistical and diplomatic measures to repatriate Brazilian citizens and their families who are in Türkiye and were affected by the February 6 earthquakes. There are 17 people, who are expected to arrive in Brazil on Saturday, February 11, at Galeão Air Base.
The return to the country will take place aboard the Brazilian Air Force KC-30 aircraft, which took to Türkiye in the early hours of Thursday (February 9) a multidisciplinary humanitarian mission organized by the Federal Government, through the Brazilian Cooperation Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (ABC / MRE), in coordination with the Ministries of Defense (MD), Health (MS), Regional Development (MIDR) and Justice and Public Safety (MJSP), and other federal agencies working in a coordinated manner within the Interministerial Working Group on International Humanitarian Cooperation.
