Recent attacks in violation of the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel

The Brazilian government condemns the Israeli bombings carried out yesterday, March 28, in Beirut and southern Lebanon, as well as the rocket launches from Lebanon into Israeli territory, both in violation of the November 26 ceasefire agreement.

Expressing deep concern over this recent escalation of violence and the systematic violations of the ceasefire, Brazil urges all parties involved to exercise maximum restraint and fully comply with the terms of the aforementioned agreement and the obligations set out in United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, including the complete withdrawal of Israeli troops from southern Lebanon.
