Protests in Iran

The Brazilian government is following with concern the developments in the protests that have occurred since December 28 in various locations in Iran.
Brazil mourns the deaths and extends its condolences to the affected families.
While underscoring that it is solely up to the Iranian people to decide, in a sovereign manner, on the future of their country, Brazil urges all actors to engage in peaceful, meaningfulf, and constructive dialogue.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Embassy of Brazil in Tehran, continues to pay close attention to to the needs of the Brazilian community in Iran.
To date, there are no records of Brazilian nationals killed or injured.
