Presidential election in Peru

The Brazilian Government congratulates Mr. José Pedro Castillo Terrones on his election to the Presidency of the Republic of Peru. In reaffirming the importance of the traditional ties of friendship and cooperation between Brazil and Peru, the Brazilian Government wishes President Castillo success in carrying out his mandate and expresses its willingness to continue to work  for the well-being of both countries, in defense of freedom and democracy, and for the entire region.
