Opening of the photographic exhibition “80 Years of the UN: Building our future together”

The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Maria Laura da Rocha, and the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, Ms. Amina Mohammed, opened the photographic exhibition “80 Years of the UN: Building Our Future Together” today. The exhibition was organized in partnership with the United Nations Representation Office in Brazil.

The exhibition, on display until 11/09/2025, features photos from two exhibitions held in New York marking the UN’s 80th anniversary in 2025: “Reviving the Spirit of Saint Francis” and “Shared Lives, Shared Future.”

The event held at the Itamaraty Palace represents Brazil’s commitment, as a founding Member of the UN, to the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter and to a multilateral order based on the rule of law.
