The Brazilian Government welcomes the announcement by the Government of the United States authorizing exports of macadamia nuts, cassava bran, and coconut fiber from Brazil, without the need for phytosanitary certification.
In 2024, Brazil exported more than USD 12 billion in agricultural products to the United States. Among the most significant contributors to these exports were coffee, beverages, forestry products, cocoa products, and meat. The authorization for these new products is expected to benefit especially small and medium-sized Brazilian producers, enabling them to access a high value-added market.
With these announcements, Brazil achieves its 13th market opening in 2025, totaling 313 new business opportunities since the beginning of 2023.
These results stem from the joint efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa).
