Nicaragua opens its market for beet seeds from Brazil
Brazil’s government informs that phytosanitary authorities of Nicaragua have approved the export of beet seeds from Brazil to their country.
This market opening reaffirms Brazil’s commitment to diversifying trade partnerships and promoting different sectors of Brazilian agribusiness internationally. With a population of nearly 6.9 million, Nicaragua imported more than $47 million in agricultural products from Brazil in 2024, in particular cereals, flours, and preparations.
With this announcement, the Brazilian agribusiness sector has reached its 444th market opening since the beginning of 2023.
These openings are the result of joint efforts between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa).
