The Brazilian government welcomed the announcement by the government of Mexico of sanitary approval for the export of poultry oil and fish oil for animal feeding from Brazil to that country.
In 2023, Mexico imported more than $2.95 billion in Brazilian agricultural products and is the 10th largest destination for Brazilian exports of this sector.
This market opening adds to the opening of the Mexican market, in January, for donkey genetic material from Brazil. Since the beginning of this year 41 markets were opened in 24 countries.
The opening of this new market is the result of joint efforts between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa).
