Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the 28th Ibero-American Summit
The Secretary-General of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Fernando Simas Magalhães, led the Brazilian delegation to the Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the 28th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, held today, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The ministers addressed global challenges, including climate change, social inequality and difficult access to health products and services, in particular to COVID-19 vaccines. In line with the motto of the 28th Ibero-American Summit “Together towards a fair and sustainable Ibero-America”, a declaration on the efforts sent by countries in the region to promote the post-pandemic economic recovery was adopted.
The Brazilian government congratulates Minister Andrés Allamand for his election as Ibero-American Secretary-General for a four-year term.
