Market openings for Brazil in New Zealand and Turkey – Joint press release by MRE/Mapa
The Government of Brazilian has concluded negotiations that will authorize the country to export new agricultural products to New Zealand and Turkey.
Authorization for the export of thermoprocessed pork and ovine bile to New Zealand increases Brazil’s export opportunities to a high-income market. In 2025, Brazil exported approximately $107 million in agricultural products to New Zealand.
In Turkey, authorization for the export of honey and apiculture products is expected to expand opportunities for the Brazilian sector. In 2025, Turkey imported more than $3.2 billion in Brazilian agricultural products, with highlights including soybeans, cotton, and coffee.
With these announcements, Brazilian agribusiness has achieved 544 new market openings since the beginning of 2023.
These openings are the result of joint efforts between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA).
