PRESS RELEASE N. 18
Market opening for Brazil in Vietnam and Saudi Arabia
The Brazilian government has concluded sanitary negotiations which will allow Brazil to export a variety of new agribusiness products to Vietnam and Saudi Arabia.
Vietnamese health authorities have confirmed the approval for the export of beef fat from Brazil, which expands and diversifies opportunities for the Brazilian livestock chain. With a population of nearly 100 million, Vietnam is one of the main destinations for Brazilian agribusiness. The country imported more than $3.5 billion in Brazilian agricultural products in 2025, in particular corn, soybean complex, fibers, and textile products.
In Saudi Arabia, health authorities have confirmed the market opening for bovine heparin, an anticoagulant used in clinical procedures and therapies. The country has a population of around 34 million and imported more than $2.8 billion in Brazilian agricultural products last year, in particular corn, meat complex products, and products from the sugar-alcohol complex.
With these announcements, Brazilian agribusiness has achieved 527 market openings since the beginning of 2023.
These results are the outcome of joint efforts by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA).
