PRESS RELEASE N. 48
Market opening for Brazil in Ecuador – Joint press release by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA)
The Brazilian government has conducted negotiations with Ecuadorian authorities that will allow Brazil to export poultry offal meal and bovine blood meal to that country.
By strengthening bilateral trade, this authorization expands opportunities for the Brazilian animal feed ingredients market, adding value to products from the poultry and cattle supply chains.
In 2025, Brazil exported over $346 million in agricultural products to Ecuador, with key items including paper, cereals, and coffee.
With this announcement, Brazilian agribusiness reaches 537 market openings since the beginning of 2023.
This opening is the outcome of joint efforts between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA).
