Opening of markets in Mali – Joint MRE/MAPA Press Release
The Brazilian government and Mali’s health authorities have reached an agreement on the models of International Sanitary Certificates for the export of seven agricultural products from Brazil to Mali: live cattle and buffalo, bovine semen, ovine and caprine semen, as well as bovine, ovine, and caprine embryos.
Over the past three years, Brazilian agribusiness exports to Mali have totaled approximately USD 5 million. With a population of over 23 million people, predominantly rural, Mali presents a significant opportunity for the growth of Brazilian agricultural input exports.
With these agreements, Brazilian agribusiness has secured 42 new market openings in 2025, bringing the total to 342 new business opportunities since the beginning of 2023.
These achievements result from the joint efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA).
