Joint Press Release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense – Hungary buys Embraer C-390 aircrafts

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense inform that Brazil and Hungary signed, on Tuesday, Nov. 17, a contract for the sale of two C-390 Millennium medium-weight transport aircraft, which will be operated by the Hungarian Air Force.

Following the acquisition, Hungary will be the  third country in the world (after Brazil and Portugal) to have an Embraer C-390 Millennium aircraft in its fleet.

Hungary’s decision represents a successful outcome for both Embraer and the Brazilian aeronautical industry, in a competition that included some of the world’s leading manufacturers of military aircraft.

The recent intensification of the bilateral relationship between Brazil and Hungary and the joint effort, from the beginning, by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense, in support of the negotiations have contributed to this result.
