PRESS RELEASE N. 53
Humanitarian reception of Ukrainians
A group of 47 Ukrainians has arrived in Brazil this Saturday morning (March 26). The group, which was in Poland, received support from the task force of the Embassy of Brazil in Warsaw.
In less than 24 hours, the Embassy issued travel documents and notes addressed to the Polish immigration, health and airport authorities.
The group also had the support from the Consulate General in Frankfurt, where a flight connection was made.
The interministerial ordinance MRE-MJSP 28, of March 3, 2022, grants temporary visa and residence permit for humanitarian reception purposes to Ukrainian nationals and stateless persons who have been affected or displaced by the situation of armed conflict in Ukraine.
Ukrainian nationals affected or displaced by the conflict in Ukraine and who have arrived in the Brazilian territory without a visa may apply for a residence permit in the Federal Police stations.
