General elections in Ecuador

The Brazilian government congratulates the authorities and the people of Ecuador on the general elections held on Sunday, August 20. Ecuadorian institutions and civil society have once again proved their resilience and determination to face the threats to democracy, as well as to successfully carry out another phase of their electoral process.
