Earthquake in Chinese Taipei

The Brazilian government was deeply saddened to learn of the earthquakes that hit Chinese Taipei on April 3rd, killing 9 people and injuring hundreds more. The earthquake was the strongest to hit the island in 25 years.
The Brazilian government expresses its solidarity over the human and material losses and conveys its sincere condolences to the families of the victims.
The 24-hour emergency consular hotline of the Brazilian Commercial Office in Taipei (+886 933 239 061, with "WhatsApp") is available for Brazilian citizens in need of emergency assistance. Itamaraty’s 24-hour consular emergency helpline is available at +55 (61) 98260-0610. Until now there is no record of Brazilians among the victims.
