Designation of the Permanent Representative of Brazil to the OAS

The Brazilian Government is pleased to inform the designation of Ambassador Benoni Belli as Permanent Representative of Brazil to the Organization of American States, in Washington.

Benoni Belli currently holds the position of Consul General of Brazil in Chicago. In Brasilia, he recently served as Director of the United States Department (2019-2020) and Secretary for Diplomatic Planning (biennium 2017-2018).

According to the Constitution, the appointment will be submitted to the Federal Senate for consideration.
