Changes in Secretary-Level posts at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces changes to its team of secretaries following the appointment of the Secretary for Climate, Energy and Environment, Ambassador André Corrêa do Lago, as President of COP 30.

Ambassador Mauricio Carvalho Lyrio, until now Secretary for Economic and Financial Affairs, has been appointed Secretary for Climate, Energy and Environment.

Ambassador Philip Fox-Drummond Gough, who headed the Department of Economic, Financial and Services Policy, will succeed Ambassador Lyrio as Secretary for Economic and Financial Affairs.
