Ceasefire between Pakistan and Afghanistan

The Brazilian government has welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire between Pakistan and Afghanistan aimed at putting an end to the clashes that erupted on October 10 in the border region between the two countries.

Brazil acknowledges the efforts undertaken by Qatar and Turkey in mediating the crisis and in facilitating the adoption of the ceasefire.
