Bus accident on Madeira island

The Brazilian government was deeply saddened to learn of yesterday’s accident involving a tourist bus on the Island of Madeira, in Santa Cruz district, which killed at least 28 people and injured dozens of others, mostly German tourists.

Brazil expresses its condolences to the families of the victims, its wishes of a quick recovery to those wounded and its solidarity with the peoples and governments of Portugal and Germany..
