Brazilian victim of the collapse of a residential building in Surfside, Florida

The Brazilian government regrets that the Brazilian boy Lorenzo de Oliveira Leone and his father, an Italian national, were tragically killed by the collapse of the Champlain Towers condo, in Surfside, Florida.

Upon learning of the collapse, on June 24, the Consulate General of Brazil in Miami began to seek information on possible Brazilian victims and to contact local authorities and Brazilian citizens who lived in the building. The Consulate General has been providing assistance to the boy’s family.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its sincere condolences to the family of Lorenzo de Oliveira Leone.
