Brazil-France Bilateral Dialogue

On July 7, Brazil and France held a bilateral political dialogue by videoconference to discuss international and multilateral matters of common interest.

The Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs organized the meeting, which was chaired by Ambassador Kenneth da Nóbrega, Secretary for Bilateral Negotiations in the Middle East, Europe and Africa, Ambassador Fabio Mendes Marzano, Secretary for National Sovereignty and Citizenship, and his French counterpart, Mr. Philippe Errera, Director General for Political and Security Affairs.

The parties exchanged in-depth views on the future of bilateral relations, technological cooperation, trade and investment flows, cross-border cooperation with French Guiana, in the context of the spread of Covid-19, protection of the environment, preservation of biodiversity and the fight against climate change. The parties have agreed to continue to deepen dialogue.
